TOGETHER ON THE JOURNEY?

Contact PersonSr. Margaret

Have you ever contacted a Community with questions and uncertainties?

I bet, pretty soon, you got the answers, however, not from the entire Community! My guess is: the person who contacted you was the director or promoter of vocations.

Job Description

Such a person is a delegate of the Congregation to do mainly two things:

1) to promote the unique charism of the community (that she is fascinated with!),

2) to assist those who inquire about and/or consider joining its ranks.

In my experience, both elements occur usually simultaneously in the give-and-receive of a personal encounter. Yes, with great respect and reverence I call it an ENCOUNTER: on both sides there are people able to significantly contribute and build together a reality called “discernment process.”

Great Discovery

Personally, this is what I love the most in my ministry: to track down the hallmarks of God’s plan in people’s lives. Some of them have been already written in the glorious history of the past. Yet there is still more to be added! With conviction and enthusiasm I dare to say: the young people of today are to design the rhythm of history still to be written. In tandem, you and me, we can unveil God’s invitation to co-create the history of the world, of the Church, and, especially, of your own life.

Take courage!

The whole deal is: vocation comes from God. You either have it or you don’t! – all by His intent. However, never forget: His plans are always those of peace and happiness. Why not take advantage then and probe your heart? Perhaps it is YOU for whom He longs. Perhaps it is YOU whom He invites to be His own. Perhaps it is YOU through whom He wants to unfold the greatest future to come.

Take courage! Say YES! if it is You.
