On June 24, 2022, we held our XXVII General Chapter in Krakow, Poland, and today on July 1, 22, the Chapter elected Mother General Aleksandra Zaręba, for a second term of office.
A little bit about Mother General: She was born on October 6, 1971 in Leszno, Poland. As a Sister, she worked as a catechist, as a teacher of the German language, and led the formation of sisters for several years. She has also served as a Superior in the community, a General Councilor and a Vicar General. She has served the Congregation as Superior General for the last six years and will continue to do so for another six years. She has a university degree in German Philology and a BA in Spiritual Theology.
A new Board of Councilors were also elected and they are comprised of: Sr. Marlena Rogowska (who will be serving as the new Vicar General), Sr. Loretta Wnuk, Sr. Mateusz Trynda and Sr. Terezja Magiera. The Councilors will serve the Congregation for a six year term.
The theme for the Chapter was: There are various gifts, but the same Spirit (1 Cor 12: 4)
We ask for prayers for Mother General Aleksandra and her Councilors, that they may continue to serve the Congregation in Wisdom and Counsel according to the movements of the Holy Spirit, for the glory of God, and the salvation of souls.
Thank you, Jesus!
