Our Province rejoiced as we celebrated the reception of Sr. Nichole into Novitiate! She received her Dominican habit as well as her new religious name, Sister Petra! Her patron being our first pope, St. Peter, and she will celebrate her feast day on the Feast of the Transfiguration, August 6. Let us pray for Sr. Petra as she perseveres in her vocation and grows in the religious life. Let us especially remember her in our prayers this year as she lives her canonical year with an emphasis on detachment from the world and deeper into prayer. During this time sister will not be involved in outer apostolates as she focuses on interiorizing Dominican Spirituality as well as the customs of our Congregation.
